The Amateur League in Criclay - The Hundred Balls is an entry-level cricket category designed for beginners or those with minimal experience, offering a relaxed, supportive environment to learn the fundamentals. Guided by experienced coaches, players develop essential skills, understand game strategies, and build confidence, making it the perfect starting point for anyone new to cricket.

  • Silver - At least 2 - No Limit
  • Bronze - No Restrictions
  • Emerging - No Restrictions

Anonymous players can participate in any league until they are categorized.

AnonymousPlayers marked as Anonymous are those who have not undergone screening.

In case a particular category player falls short for any team in the respective league, teams can play any junior category player in his place.

The Hundred Balls Leagues Levels & Structure:

Amateur (Competitive Level): The second-highest level, where players with a good level of skill and experience compete.

This structure allows for a gradual progression from beginner to pro , providing a clear pathway for players to develop their skills and improve their competitiveness. The Beginner league will serve as a stepping stone for new players to gain experience and build confidence before moving up to the Rookie league.

Player Categories and Replacement Criteria for Squad Management

Teams may adjust player categories in their squad based on the following criteria:

  1. If a team cannot meet the required number of higher-category players, they are permitted to include an additional player from a lower category.
  2. To include an extra player from a higher category, a team must forgo two players from lower categories in place of the one higher category player.

The following guidelines apply for player replacements based on the category compromises made:

  • Sacrificing 2 Platinum Players allows for the inclusion of 1 Pro Player.
  • Sacrificing 2 Diamond Players allows for the inclusion of 1 Platinum Player.
  • Sacrificing 2 Gold Players allows for the inclusion of 1 Diamond Player.
  • Sacrificing 2 Silver Players allows for the inclusion of 1 Gold Player.
  • Sacrificing 2 Bronze Players allows for the inclusion of 1 Silver Player.
  • Sacrificing 2 Emerging Players allows for the inclusion of 1 Bronze Player.

These adjustments are NOT ALLOWED in FRESHMAN LEAGUE!

  • By sacrificing 1 Pro Player, a team can include either:
    • 1 additional Platinum Player, or
    • 2 additional Diamond Players.
  • By sacrificing 1 Platinum Player, a team can include either:
    • 1 additional Diamond Player, or
    • 2 additional Gold Players.
  • By sacrificing 1 Diamond Player, a team can include either:
    • 1 additional Gold Player, or
    • 2 additional Silver Players.
  • By sacrificing 1 Gold Player, a team can include either:
    • 1 additional Silver Player, or
    • 2 additional Bronze Players.
  • By sacrificing 1 Silver Player, a team can include either:
    • 1 additional Bronze Player, or
    • 2 additional Emerging Players.
